Mock Adjudication

Service Description

The Mock Adjudication is designed to provide dancers with a supportive in-studio environment to express their artistry and authenticity in this season's competition choreography. This unique opportunity will allow dancers to push their limits, challenge their artistry, and experiment with acting choices... all without the pressure of a formal competition setting. Workshop Options: Solo/Duet Adjudication Individual Group Adjudication Team Adjudication (up to 15 pieces) Studio-Wide Adjudication (up to 30 pieces) Performance: Each piece will be performed as if it were in a real competition, giving dancers a chance to grow their confidence and test new ideas. Immediate Feedback: After each performance, dancers will receive a 10-minute feedback session from an experienced adjudicator. This feedback will be: Recorded for students to review later. Provided to studio owners and teachers, along with a copy of the scores. Audience Inclusion: Teachers and studio owners are invited to watch the performances and can choose their level of involvement. Practical Resources: Dancers will receive practical advice on how to better connect their movement to the intended narrative, enhancing their storytelling abilities. Benefits: Non-Intimidating Environment: Dancers can perform and receive feedback in a less intimidating setting than a traditional stage. Growth and Development: Constructive feedback helps dancers understand where they can improve and how to enhance their connection to the piece. Confidence Building: Running through the piece as if it were a real competition helps dancers build confidence and prepare for actual events.
