Service Description

As an Artistry Development Coach, my goal is to not only help students, but to help competition choreographers and/or dance teachers bring their creative visions to life. When we humbly rely on each other, we can enhance the overall performance quality of all of our dancers. My process begins with a 30-minute Zoom call, where we will delve into your artistic vision and brainstorm ideas together. This collaborative session will also include a detailed discussion about the dynamics of your group, team and/or studio, as well as the skill level of your dancers, and any concerns or challenges you foresee in the near future. Following our call, I will work directly with your group for a 90-minute session, focusing on an existing competition piece. The aim is to deepen the meaning of the dance, enabling your dancers to connect and the audience more profoundly. 30-Minute Zoom Call with Teacher and/or Choreographer: Clarify Your Vision: Refine and define your artistic intentions. Group Dynamics: Discuss team strengths, technical levels, and learning styles, identifying strategies for growth. Troubleshoot Concerns: Address current or potential challenges. Our 90-Minute Group Session will offer a space for open communication and foster open dialogue and shared understanding among teachers. We will brainstorm ideas to connect the meaning of the piece to dancers' experiences, adding depth and authenticity, and impact for their audience. We will highlight the importance of conveying a story through movement and explore the emotional and thematic layers of the choreography, ensuring dancers understand and internalize the message. By fostering a strong sense of individual and collective purpose, we will elevate their performance together! Throughout the competition season, you'll have ongoing access to me for support, questions, and brainstorming. My approach is rooted in the belief that dance is a powerful form of storytelling. By refining your vision and empowering dancers to find personal connections within the piece, we can create performances that showcase technical skills and communicate profound truths and emotions.
